Some, but not with the assistance of an attorney. The Board will be
responsible for acquiring an attorney to handle all of our legal matters. In
theory, the Dunandralis Trademark license will simply state that you may use
all of the official Dunandralis trademarks as long as you do one of the
following:
1. Show that your work is derivative by altering the name, "Joe's
Dunandralis" for example. (This gives them the freedom to use, distribute and
alter anything that is "open" and "official")
2. Keep the official Dunandralis name, have access to all Dunandralis
trademarks, but not be allowed to alter established content and be required
to aid the nonprofit mission of Dunandralis in some capacity.
But these are just ideas, and the creation of a Dunandralis Trademark
License will be one of our last steps. In theory, the nonprofit aspects of
Dunandralis will be a function of the Dunandralis Trademark License, but in
order to safeguard the organization, we have to develop it first so the
License can adequately reflect the needs of the organization. Kind of
backwards, but necessary. Until then, any comments or suggestions would be
really helpful.
