All this makes me very glad I decided to skip the new Star Wars RPG
and stick with the WEG version. (Not to mention, I own just about all
the books for it...)

But even so, let me point that it didn't have rules for contructing
new devices in the core rulebook (well, maybe the revised & expanded,
which is one I don't have), but scattered about in other books. And it
was never a problem for me - only rules for repairing stuff are really
necessary for the main rulebook.

So wait a while for new books to come out. Or get the magazine. I'm
sure they'll eventually have additional rules in those....
