Well, it's been a few months and there are more and more d20 products
on the shelves. I've picked up about 11 adventures, one monster book,
and one world book. (I fully expect some signatures from you all at Gen
Con!!) Is anyone willing to comment on how business is going for them
compared to their expectations? Whatever it is, I have an idea for how
the OGF can improve it.

I went to a comic store over the weekend and the owner gave me a
rather paternal lecture on d20. It was enthusiastic, but filled with
ignorance. He claimed to have "all" of the d20 modules as he pointed to
the tower of 8 AEG d20 adventures. He didn't have a clue.

On the other hand, I went to another comic store in December and the
owner knew nothing about d20. I took it upon myself to educate him and
now he has more d20 products than black on a gamer's wardrobe. But he
thought I was off my rocker. It took a lot of convincing.

One important task the OGF should handle ASAP is the creation of a
FAQ pamphlet and mail one to each and every comic store, gaming store,
and book store in the world. These guys are not on the web, and even if
they were the OGF main page makes one feel like they just walked into a
private meeting, IMO. It doesn't really market them, yet they are a
major obstacle between your product and the customer.

Just my opinion, but I think it behooves the industry for the OGF
to help stores understand what d20 is. I've known about 20 game stores,
and in each one the employees LOVED to talk on and on about what they
knew. Why not provide them with the correct information?
