Maggie-

Great idea. I pitched Ryan before last GenCon that
WotC should do essentially that--educate the retailers
about d20. They could do it without endorsing specific
d20 products by just alerting retailers to what d20 is
and what it means. It would be taken seriously if it
came from WotC.

As far as business, it has far exceeded expectations.
When Bill and I started Necromancer we hoped to put
out a few modules and maybe make enough to cover
expenses so our wives and girlfriends didnt want to
kill us. We envisioned an initial print run of 3000
for Crucible. We are waaaayyyyy beyond that by over
10,000 units. Same for Rappan Athuk. Obviously the
Creature Collection was a big hit. Relics and Rituals
should exceed even that.

But I agree with your observation--we need to educate
retailers. Even with my distribution through White
Wolf there are retailers who have no clue about d20.
