Clark, I was looking over your submission guidelines (for curiosity
sake), and was surprised by the fact that you state that all maps will
be re-drawn by professional artists and none of the submitted maps will
be printed. So if someone submitted a really good map or an
intentionally bad map (with a good reason for it being bad), you would
not accept it- regardless of the quality? I am by no means a
professional artist, however I know for a fact that there are people out
there who are also not "professional artists" who can produce damned
good quality maps (myself included). Far better in fact that what I
have seen in 95% of the modules that I have purchased over the past 20
years from a variety of companies. It seems like (especially with this
type of a product) that you would be willing to accept good quality
maps, rather than have all the maps drawn by the same artist or artists
with similar styles. It seems like it would be a more "believable"
product if the maps varied in quality, style, and condition. After all,
how many times does the die roll in the DMG say that the "treasure map"
is a quality work of art? It seems like you would be better off to have
some have a very high quality look while others are sketchy, and still
some are faded or even damaged.

I am not meaning to gripe, or say that I won't submit anything for this
reason (as I won't be submitting anything, but for a different and
unrelated set of reasons), but you may want to re-think your plan a
little. After all, myself as a player, if I was handed a treasure map
by the GM that were all clean and crisp, despite supposedly being
carried around in some sweaty merchants undergarments for months on end,
after having been found in a soggy and mold covered leather satchel with
the remains of some thief that had been mauled by a
super-giant-dire-shrew, it kind of spoils the whole feel of the
scenario.

Just a suggestion...
