agreement?
If it's appropriate, yes. Right now I'm planning two works, Adding
Superheroes to your d20(r) campaign(c) and Adding Lycanthropes to your
d20(r) campaign(c) I have some neat feats (no punning intended) and skills
made up specifically for them But I want to see the actual SRD before I get
in too deep.
> 2) How do you think such an agreement affects a new writer breaking into
the
> field?
well, it's how I plan on getting started. After I write some stuff I'd
eventually like to work in house at WotC, if possible and I'm hoping my
indies stuff will show my skill.
> 3) Do you think experienced writers will use the open license agreement?
I think they'll (eventually) join. At the very beginning we'll see a flood
of people with d20 stuff trying to get started, then some will back off and
the pros will join in with the really determined indies.
> 4) What do you predict will happen to professional writers who choose not
to
> use the OGL?
If they got a system good enough, like White Wolf, they'll prosper otherwise
they'll die. But I think with d20 and OGL the quality will be improved on
most products and I think(hope) more will have a chance to thrive.
> 5) Who benefits the most from the OGL, and why?
>From OGL, everyone, more &better material will be out and info sharing is a
good thing.
>From d20, Wizards. They'll get a lot more people interested because they'll
finally have western D&D like campaigns and samurai campaigns that the
system will generate interest in main D&D.
I'm probably being overly optimistic but I think what's happening is a good
thing. I hope everyone gets something out of it.
