Subject: [Open_Gaming] wannabe lawyering - can it stop soon?

<< Could we please finish up all the wannabe lawyering over
copyrights soon? As someone who actually possesses a law degree (although
I'm not an attorney), I must say that I've seen very little useful
information being conveyed and a whole lot of uninformed opinions about
both copyright law and constitutional law being spouted. The U.S.
Copyright OFfice is on-line (http://lcweb.loc.gov/copyright/) for those
who are interested. >>

Other useful links (which I believe Alec gave me a LONG time ago) are Brad
Templeton's copyright pages:

http://www.templetons.com/brad/copyright.html -- The Basics, and links to
US, Canadian, and Australian copyright offices, as well as other good sites.

http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html -- 10 Big Myths about
copyright. 11, atually, but he hasn't changed the title.

They won't address some of the unique aspects of Open Gaming, but they'll
clear up a lot of misconceptions. Brad isn't a lawyer, but has been in the
business of electronic publishing in one form or another for over a decade.
Plus he has been on the Internet since the days of Arpanet.
