The only problem in giving examples lies in the fact that both  
protagonists and antagonists of an issue can give perfectly 
plausible examples to illustrate their points. Unfortunately, these 
examples do nothing more than illustrate the person's viewpoint, it 
cannot, by definition, prove anything for either side.

When citing court cases as examples, it is important to remember 
that there often many details not included. Such as with the 
Mayfair/TSR case. That case revolved around several different 
issues, one of them being that TSR did not like the words "any 
RPG" being used in the same blurb with "as D&D". It has been a 
while since I read through the whole thing (including several other 
related cases (such as the suit by Dave Arneson vs TSR), but at 
least I remember that much.......
