Well, I can't speak to a lot of companies, but I can say that the
people on the SJ Games forums are well aware of the OGL, and it's been
a topic of discussion. Ryan's even on some of them, so they aren't
lacking for information.
Your more immediate difficulty is that many of the mailing lists are
closed -- you *can't* post to them if you aren't a subscriber.

It has nothing to do with content. Posting the same message to dozens
of mailing lists is spam. Further, I suspect you'll cause a lot more
resentment than meaningful dialogue, if the list members get the
perception that they've been the victims of a "hit and run" posting. I
think it's a far better idea to let the OGL come up naturally on each
list, brought up by fans of the appropriate game. Trust me, D&D is big
enough that there are very few mailing lists whose populations are
totally disjoint from the OGL-aware group.
