Here are my thoughts on the whole respositroy idea... especially since I
plan on having the biggest and best one on the net ;)

I've been on these mail lists since May. I was on the d20 closed list.
I got the PHB elecronically.

I want all you guys who also got it to think about this next statement,
"Having a soft-copy, raw data version of the PHB made me want the
hardcopy more."

It was nice to have the rules.... I wanted to see the book. The Art.
Have page numbers (the indexes were kinda useless).

Low quality products with bad art and bad layout will probably be killed
by repositories..... but then again, they will usually be free "netbook"
type products.

High quality material will likely Thrive... people will want to see
where the material came from.

In the case of my site, There will be a voting/commenting system, so
good material will be more visible than bad. I'll probably throw in a
way to link it all to the OGR for the original product.

I'm more than willing to work with the content producers to make highly
visible links to their web pages/sales info.

I think this will work very well, and not have an averse affect on sales
(I think the loss coming from people who only wanted one monster will be
offset by the people who want to see all the PI).
