Any open material you make is still yours. However, the Open concept is an interesting one. It gives freedoms to others by taking away freedoms from the author. Yes you still hold the copyright to your open material, but it doesn't really matter because their is no way to restrict its use. As the author you have given up your right to do that in exchange for giving everyone else the right to do with it as they see fit. You, as the author, have no control over it. So in effect, no one is taking anything away from you, you are giving it away by making it open.
