All,
Please do not share your ideas on this list as I am on the list and I must remain
blind.

Subject: [Ogf-l] New Setting numbers & sharing your idea

>Hm. I'm guessing 10K.

I am sure Wizards will announce the estimated number soon enough. It
wouldn't hurt, and it alot of people want to know.

In anycase, at this point I am sure the reviewers are looking for any
possible reason to toss it, unless it is a killer idea. I am sure they will
read through all our submissions, but will be far less tolerant of crap or
mistakes.

I remember foolishly checking the "have colleges send me informational
letters" on my S.A.T. form. The mail just never stopped coming. I threw
away many letters without even opening them just because they spelled my
name wrong.

Even if there are 10,000 entries for this WOTC contest, this is what I
figure:
5,000 are tossed because they are utter crap
1,000 are tossed because of spelling errerrs, and not-good grammrr
1,000 are tossed because it is too wierd for wide audiences

That leaves 3,000.

10 / 3000 = 1/300. Better odds than the Lottery. And I would think that
most of us on listproc has submitted at least one feasable idea.

That's just my guess.

Speaking of which, after today are we allowed to share with others what our
world submission is/was? I would love to hear what some of you guys
submitted.

~Le
