You weren't as clear as you thought you were.

No, that's an SRD revision. I'm talking about the d20 System Trademark
License and d20 System Trademark License Guide. The one currently in effect
is Version 4.0. I'm sure you can see that implies that 3 other versions have
been in use replace by newer ones. The first revision (1.0 to 2.0) mainly
involved how certain companies were using the term 'core rulebook' and how
they were using WotC trademarks such as Dungeons & Dragons.

There are a couple of WotC folks on this list. Ryan Dancey wrote the
original OGL and d20 STL with the help of his legal department. Anthony
Valtera was running things d20 last I heard, but I'm not particularly
current. Send me an email off-list and I'll get you their addresses.

Like what? There are only two niches that WotC carved out to be served
solely by their core rulebooks: character creation and the effects of
experience. Everything else is available under the OGL. I have a 15-page
document that covers these areas, and when combined with the SRD I never
have to crack the cover of a PHB. *that* is what Wizards does not want
associated with their d20 logo.

They don't care about 'bridging the gap', only about selling books.

?!? I haven't heard much that is contradictory on this list. Who else are
you talking to? If it's your lawyer, does he know that the d20 STL can and
will change if you use it in a way that WotC doesn't like?
