Grim said, "I can see about three ways around it all of them weaselly"
Grim said, "It's not planning to 'beat' them in any way, it's trying to decipher what is and isn't allowable under it and what the hell the original intention of the definitions and restrictions was." Not to put too fine a point on the obvious, but the original intent was not to accomodate 'weasely' behavior. Try it and it more likely than not you will be the loser in the war of words. They have the upper hand by virtue of being the entity granting the priviledge of the use of their logo and even if they were in a shakey legal position, justice ain't blind to money, and I'll bet Hasbro's got way more than you or I. Personally, I wouldn't even consider trying anything thet you see up front as weasely. Grim said, "suppose we go with OGL instead [...] Doesn't that rather screw you since you still can't include character creation material?" The product you've described so far fits fine under the OGL, just not the d20STL. Under the OGL you can have as much in the way of character creation as you'd like. It is the STL that introduces most of the real restrictions. -Tom Caudron _______________________________________________ Ogf-l mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.opengamingfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/ogf-l
