Do you want to know what version of OpenEXR is linked with the running OIIO app? Or do you want to know what version wrote a particular exr file? Or do you want to know what version is capable of reading a particular file (e.g., an exr written by 2.x, but that doesn't happen to use deep or multi-part features, can be read just fine by 1.x)?
