OK, after some amount of experimentation, I seem to have honed in on the problem : I can build with the JSDK1.4, but not with the JSDK1.3 In 1.3, the rt.jar does not include javax.sql.DataSource, but it does in 1.4
Now of course, the regression tests are failing.
