My best , 100 % advice ? go buy a complete running takeout 235
engine , take a battery and a compression tester along before you
pay , don't buy any engine that has under 125 # compression nor one
that has more than a 20 # variance between cylinders and just clean
and re-paint it , then slip it into your truck , drive it another 50
years or so and let the next owner worry about re-building the
engine then .
If you really -must- rebuild the engine for peace of mind , rebuild
an engine with good compression and it'll be fine if wa$ted money in
my Yankee Farmer's view .
