IIRC ;

They're the 2600 series you want for a Babbit Pounder , Carter made
these as replacement carbies by the _MILLIONS_ so there's plenmty of
the -wrong- ones out there .

Every single part has a part number stamped into it so rebuilding and
matching is dead simple .

The have metering rods and this makes them not only vastly superior
at metering fuel but fully adjustable too .

The last pair I rebuilt was on Jim Proffit's old '39 Jimmy 1/2 tonner
W/ 302 C.I.D. ' Long Engine ' , he gave me the HUGE Carter factory
book for a referance guide and a box of $5.00 swap meet carbys plus
the two off his truck , I was able to make up one really decent pair
with all matching parts and hardware , I didn't need to buy any new
gaskets at all .

After he'd burned rubber in 3rd gear and idled it down to 300 RPM's
smooth as silk , I decided the job was O.K. ~ if you find one (or
more !) of these fine carbys in a swap meet junk box or one some old
long forgotten Ag. pump engine etc. , I -highly- recommend it in lieu
of your leaky old Rochester 'B' series carby as it's a true , 100 %
straight bolt up deal , NO MODS whatsoever ! even your stock air
filter will clamp on to it .

I have a 80's vintage re-pop dual carby intake manifold I plan to use
one of these days...

I think two is easier to work with my ownself .

One clear , paper element or glass bowl typ fuel filter _MUST_ be
added to EACH individual carby ! .

Did that answer your question ? . (I hope )
