I am no mechanic, but I knew of a fellow who tried a triple carb combo on his
1950 chev truck, didn't like it, and then went with a 2 carb setup. On the old
Ariel Square Four motorcycles, the engines had a habit of blowing up. This was
because of the engine configuration, where there were a pair of cylinders
behind another pair of cylinders. The ones behind didn't cool at the same rate
as the two in front.

This is the problem. I had a Yamaha motorcycle and it had triple carbs. You
could never keep the darn things in tune all together. Part of the problem was
the uneven cooling.

Thats all I know. I have never talked to anyone who liked this setup.

I'd appreciate some input as to the pros/cons of going with a triple
deuce set-up for my '46 1/2 ton 235. I'm building a daily driver out
of her and included in my plan is a gear ratio change, tranny mods,
engine rebuild, and bolt-on horsepower.

Thanks as always!
