Not aware of repairs. Hard to find that orig switch. You CAN still find the
round lighted knob type, which looks old, clamps to lip under dash, in both 6
and 12 volt types. Go to Auto Zone or similar, have them look up in heater
switches BOOK with pictures and go to the Universal section. OR, some vendors
have them listed also. It uses same type of resistor coil and only needs one
wire to motor because of that. Might also try Bow Tie Bits for orig or good
used.

1953 chev, and the heater switch is a box shaped maroon bakelite one with a
white coloured switch that moves up and down.
The switch runs using resistance, and on the back of it, is a coil of wire is
embedded in white porcelain. The porcelain is old, and is crumbling off, but
the wire is intact. Is there a way I can repair the porcelain part?
