Yes, for now we are not planning to handle the failure during in-flight requests. With replica count of 2 or more (on different nodes), we want to achieve load sharing as well as we want to avoid a single point of failure in case a k8s node goes down. K8s can bring up the container in case of failure, but having more than 1 pods will keep system available while failed pod comes back.
