In terms of compatibility i would say its excellent, as is performance. I
haven't used main stream coldfusion server since 2005 so im not the right
person to ask for comparisons with CF8 /CF9.

Alan and Matt W might want to chime in, from my perspective I believe 1.5
nightly (2.0 very soon) runs most frameworks it depends what features
you're talking about the language features are very CF8 compatible. Its
also a very stable platform.

Personally im not a fan of ORM so wasnt that excited about that in CF9,
what other cool CF9 stuff was there ?

What do you mean by FX abilities ?
