Thanks Oliver, Ok, I was a bit optimistic! I felt reluctant about installing independent-severalMBs-CAs X times but it is the only solution. I do not see clearly how to update/maintain reliably such a configuration though. The good thing is that you end up with a good partitioning for each sub-CA. I think it may be possible to share some bits like the modules folder. What do you reckon?
That's enough newbie questions for today :) Pierre > Hi Pierre, > > > I may try to run multiple CAs on a same openCA installation running > > scripts to switch between CAs although it is (a bit) dodgy... > > I think I need to learn more about openCA before trying that :) > > If anyone tried it already, I would really appreciate some feedback. > > DONT DO THAT !!!!! > You will end up in a mess - just use "./configure --prefix > /usr/local/caXX" with XX as a version number (or name) and create an own > dir-tree for every CA. > There are so many dependencies between the var/ filesystem, the etc/ > config etc that you will end up in a totally broken system... > > Oliver ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
