Ok, I was a bit optimistic!
This is a good attitude when dealing woth OpenCA ;)
I felt reluctant about installing independent-severalMBs-CAs X times but it is the only solution. I do not see clearly how to update/maintain reliably such a configuration though. The good thing is that you end up with a good partitioning for each sub-CA. I think it may be possible to share some bits like the modules folder. What do you reckon?
At least you should NOT share the etc and the var section, the rest is "read-only" so you can share it using symlinks or mount's.
It should be possible to use one real tree and just create multiple var and etc dirs inside and adjust the config files - but as there is no central point to do so but about 20 files this is error prone and probably more work than just hacking some subsequent "./configure" with differnet prefixes....
But as a "make install" will create all necessary stuff and the size of the componentes ist not that much I wont see any advantages of sharing things...
This will be another opton if you heavily adapt some of the functions...
