The only thing that strikes me as odd is that maven will take the

openejb3 dir that will just sit there collecting dust and taking up
disk space.

AFAIK, maven *always* place the copy of dependencies in
~/.m2/repository. Your comment seems to have implied it doesn't have
to be true. Do you have a pom.xml to show it to me? Or, do you mean
that [EMAIL PROTECTED] will become a repository as ibiblio or any other
repo m2 will pull down deps from *and* copy it over to its local repo
(~/.m2/repository), but the main difference is that we will eventually
have only one copy on a disk - the one in the local repo. The only
reason I thought about holding it in openejb3 svn space was to easy
maintenance of dependencies, but since I have write access to svn I
can simply copy it to some place outside openejb3. How?

In fact, it's not as important as to have it in place and ready for
others so they don't have to follow some weird build steps. Do as you
wish. We'll improve it afterwards when it's in a bad shape ;-)

PS What does "NB" stand for?

NB: nota bene - "Note well" (often abbreviated "N.B.") is used in
writing to draw attention to something especially.
