Title: RE: JAMIA Position Paper: EMR in Primary Care

Adrian will be happy to read in the same paper of the similar great success achieved by British primary care.

Cough, splutter! Australia? Major breakthroughs in implementing
EMRs in primary care? As recently discussed, we have the Medical
Director
package on a lot of GP desktops, but the EMR facilities are pretty
rudimentary,
and as Thomas Beale pointed out, the utiliastion of those facilities is
unknown but
likely to be modest - most GPs us it just to write scripts.

Would some Australian GPs in active practice (there are several
subscribed to
this list) care to comment further?
