We need to understand the impact on all three supported platforms.  The change 
is in the common path, yet, like @crschnick , I see no difference on macOS, so 
the difference must come from elsewhere (toolkit?).  Should it be addressed 
there instead?

Also, the ScrollEvent contains other fields - are they impacted?
