You wouldn't really see a difference in normal use though. By saying that I see no difference I meant that I didn't see one when using applications normally without a lot of zoom. Essentially this trades performance (quite a bit as many controls have small corner radii) for some pixel-scale color differences that you wouldn't really notice. Also, is there a way of figuring out which variant is the definitive one? Rendering rounded corners can be opinionated, I don't think there is necessarily one correct way of doing it. As long as no users can make out weirdly shaped corners from afar, it's good enough.
