Well, I think two simple tables could be useful:
1. logs
 logs_id       int
 time          datetime
 eventtype_id  int

2. eventtype
 eventtype_id  int
 description   varchar

This way more events could be added later, if needed.

I basically only need two events: 
"user joins room", "user leaves room".

I don't need any UI to display them, yet.

What do you think?
