Hi,

I am new to Opennms software.. But I have expertise developing database service
APIs(Java based) running in J2EE based Telecom Management Server (TMS) so that
FCAPS client applications (FCAPS) can remotely access the database service
running in the TMS server for their data storage needs. After briefly browsing
through the Opennms documentation it seems to me that Opennms supports
PostGreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and SQL server(???) relational databases and I am
interested in adding Ingres (www.ingres.com), another opensource DBMS to its
list of supported RDBMSs.... Could you please point me to the Opennms
documentation to get started on this task?

Mainly I wonder about

1. What RDBMS features that Opennms expects to be supported by Ingres?
2. Documentation about configuring opennms to use relational databases for its
data storage needs?
3. And any other info that would help me to get started on this project...

I would appreciate any pointers...

Regards,
Usha
