These are databases that OpenNMS can *monitor* (up/down, send alerts
for, etc.).  These are *not* the databases that OpenNMS uses to store
its data--we only support PostgreSQL for that.

I strongly encourage you to *not* do it, unless you have a very strong
reason why you need Ingres and are willing to support it in the future. 
One database is hard enough for us to support, at least right now
<grin>.

really, Really, REALLY, *REALLY* want to use Ingres after reading the
