first of all welcome to the OpenNMS project. Please use the opennms-gsoc maining-list for your gsoc specific questions, not the discuss-list. A good start is to get OpenNMS running on your system from source. There is a wiki page for that. http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Installation:Source The steps after that differer from project to project. If you want to have a look into the OCS project. Install ocs and become familiar with it. The key parts of the integration are the soap interfaces of OCS and the Rest API of OpenNMS for provisioning requisitions. For the "new requisition webui" project the best start is to have a look in admin-manage-provisioning-requisitions. Add 20 nodes with that webui. Including interfaces, some assets and categories. Then you will get the idea of the project. The approach to fix it is the OpenNMS Rest API for provisioning requisitions again in combination with Vaadin 7. Please check the opennms-gsoc mailing list for more information about all the porjects you have asked about. there are plenty information there already.
