"No" what? Not in push-pull mode? I see no reason for the commands above 
to indicate that reset is in open-drain mode... I didn't say that reset 
is constantly asserted, it's just held tightly at high level. But from 
what you show above it seems that this is something completely different 
from you described before.

Maybe I don't understand you? Do you want your target to run after you 
push the reset button while OpenOCD is connected?
