If I understand correctly, with the OpenOCD build linked with the FT2DXX
drivers it's possible to specify the FTDI device port used for debugging by
appropriate configuration using 'ft2232_device_desc' / 'ft2232_serial'
commands (and presumably the FT2DXX driver's appendage of appropriate
A/B/C/D suffix to each port's description). Is this also possible with the
libftdi library?
>From what I can determine, libftdi does not report device descriptions with
the equivalent suffixes, and the appropriate port must be set
programmatically via 'ftdi_set_interface'. However, this capability seems
to be restricted to the built in adapters based on FTDI and cannot be
controlled via scripts.
