You do not need to try that script at all, as you're not an OpenOCD
release manager :)

I didn't get it when preparing the 0.8.0 release (as I was a release
manager for that), so I can't tell what exactly is wrong here. I
followed the docs for preparing a release closely, I guess you're
missing some step there.
