/etc/hotplug also exists on systems that switched to udev or hald. to make openct work: http://www.opensc-project.org/openct/wiki/QuickStart # cp etc/hotplug.openct /etc/hotplug/usb/openct # cp etc/openct.usermap /etc/hotplug/usb/openct.usermap and new for udev: cp etc/openct.udev /etc/udev/rules.d/95-openct.rules works fine over here. if it does not work for you. please let me know. oh. and /etc/hotplug/usb/openct should be mode executeable.
