I believe that Aladdin can provide at least an ifdhandler, which
is what you need for a Mac.
I also have one that I wrote myself. It's real sloppy, though.
However, it does seem to work with both versions 10.3 and 10.4
for what that's worth. I doubt if it would work with the new
Intel hardware, though, but it might (I think I did all the
endianness stuff right).
