I know that Debian is the golden standard of .deb-s but ... I did not use a Debian link because Most Users (I'm afraid) who do not care too much about details and Just Want a Working Computer use Ubuntu. Grandpas use Ubuntu, developers use Debian. In fact, most people who I know that use Linux that uses .deb-s, use Ubuntu.
But the main issue - no useful information in package descriptions - is still valid. And valid for other distros as well.
