Hi Martin, all,

Ideas, feedback?

For what it's worth, I'll leave my two cents.

Regarding the opensc-user and opensc-devel mailing lists consolidation, it may make sense. Both lists are relatively low traffic and are somewhat similar in nature to the Muscle mailing list, where the single list model seems to work fairly well. Also, due to the technical nature of the OpenSC project, I'm not entirely sure if a clear distinction between -user -devel exists, creating confusion. For example, I have had doubts determining which list was the correct one to post a question (e.g., is this an actual bug or I am doing something wrong?).

Regarding the multiple wiki/trac instances, I believe a single instance would significantly improve both the navigation of the site, and the effort of searching for information. Users and developers already use the opensc-* lists to ask questions, submit paches, etc. Why not use a similar approach to the site? I.e., unify all sub-projects under a single trac instance, or wiki, or bugzilla, or whatever is deemed technically more sound and correct. Regardless of the technology that is eventually chosen, centralizing the information would probably reduce redundancy and confusion, and improve its consistency. I'm not trying to play buzzword bingo here, I promise :)

Regards,
João

P.S. - My sincere thanks to everyone who is, or was, involved in the OpenSC project.
