Hello again,

I have seen some messages on this list about people who used the FTGLText class.
I like to use it too, and just want to see what I need to do to be able to.

>From what I can see the code is still in Contrib in the 1.6 version. Would it
>be
possible to compile it into the libs anyway, or create a new lib just for that?

Also, there's a patch in the same directory as the sources. Is that patch
necessary?

The reason I ask is that I'll be using this program on machines on which I can't
install libraries in the default search paths, so I'm trying to find a (mostly)
painless way of doing this. What I think I might end up doing is to compile the
FTGLText and other related sources to a library, and patching FTGL and naming
the resulting lib 'ftgl_opensg' or something so that I can include it into my
program easily. Does that seem like a good idea or is there a better way of
doing it?

Thanks,

J-S
