Can confirm I also have the same problem. No sound on preview. Tried a range of different videos with different codecs. on Ubuntu 9.04 with Pulse-Audio removed, so just using alsa. No errors showing in terminal getting same output as Vadim above. I do have installed libsdl1.2debian- pulseaudio, though. Used the correct debs from picker on website. The ffmpeg and x264 de[endencies refused to install via GDebi, most probably because I have ffmpeg and x264 installed via SVN/GIT.
