Hi Jason, i'm building an orkut app for a review site. i want know if I can use the name of the orkut reviewer when displaying the review on the main website.
The terms you linked to says "Never expose any user data retrieved using the OpenSocial APIs outside of the application. You are not permitted to expose profile information "scraped" using the API on your application's website or any other channel—instead, this information must be used within the context of the app that retrieved it." But many existing applications are using the user name outside orkut. For instance, weRead is using the user name against book reviews on their website.
