I got this email too, twice in the last couple of weeks. I have noticed that canvas page loads are now often incredibly slow on orkut (like several minutes!!) for my application. I use almost identical code on other opensocial platforms with no problems so I think something is wrong on orkut, but I've not yet had time to track down what exactly is slow and find a workaround.
