The confusion isn't over whether or not these are read-only; but about
whether or not you're implementing link properties that are visible
through show-linkprop, or just using a private mechanism to obtain some
values that are only displayed by show-ib.  The term "link property" (as
described in the dladm(1M) man page) refers to things displayed by
show-linkprop.

In any case, we can sort this out off-list and make sure that we have
the details disambiguated in the new spec.
