Didn't one of the SMF cases Obsolete the use of /etc/default/?

I agree - things would be different if it simply reused /etc/default/tar,
but new projects such as this should not be using it...

Adding a new /etc/default/rmt seems wrong for those same reasons.

The ARC can certainly choose otherwise, but doing so seems to run counter
to the expressed desire to Obsolete /etc/default...
