Works fine. In that situation, external power is supplied continuously
to the device, and no data is lost. Doesn't matter whether a full
reboot via BIOS or fast reboot is used... the data in DDR is preserved
either way. (Of course, if you don't have external power plugged in and
continuously supplied, well, then you get what you deserve.)
