AFAIK it didn't work (or the ctfmerge patch was rejected (I don't
remeber all details of the discussion anymore)) which forced us to rip
the whole VLA code out... ;-(
... anyway... if "DEBUGFORMAT=-xdebugformat=dwarf" really works and is
allowed within OS/Net then we finally have the cart out of the mud (few
weeks to late for ksh93s+ to get all the VLA patches re-integrated into
the upstream codebase but we have lots of time during the ksh93t-
development cycle... :-) ).
