Having recently gone down the path of installing/upgrading Apache
on OS-b56, the current scheme is confusing at best. With 2
versions delivered by Sun, another two by Blastwave, and a 3rd
set via the Apache source INSTALL/README notes, this whole area
is difficult to navigate. Especially if you need a configuration
or modules that differ from the one(s) pre-built and delivered on your
system.

Creating yet another install, with its own svc manifest names, its
own config files, its own modules, etc... just makes the above
picture worse. As much as I would like to be able to run both
old and new side-by-side, it isn't worth the additional admin
complexity that it entails. Please don't go there.
