Is it safe to shrink M$ XP partition using Symantc's Partition Magic? I got the laptop with XP pre-installed and want to make room on the disk for Solaris and Fedora. There are many references on Internet to Partition Magic as THE tool to resize the disk partition where XP resides, but there are also not so good remarks about the quality of this operation. Although I have recovery disks (just in case...) I wouldn't like to go through the restore process (if something goes wrong), just to start everything from scratch again. Any advice (tested)?
