Hi Jurgen,

Thanks for the tip.

# update_drv -a -i "pci1000,409" lsimega
# update_drv -a -i "pci1000,409.1000.3008" lsimega
# update_drv -a -i "pci1000,409,1000.3008.a" lsimega

The above worked, OpenSolaris Device Driver Utility correctly identified the
LSI MegaRAID SATA 300-8X card and I able to successfully mount my UFS
filesystem. Now I will be able to perform a clean install of OpenSolaris.

Will the modified driver settings be transferred to the disk installation or
will it be necessary to perform the "update_drv" manually on the disk
installation in order to boot from disk?

Can the SUNWlismega driver in OpenSolaris be modified to recognise the LSI
MegaRAID SATA controller by default? It is only a single text line change in
Postinstall.
